COLOMBIAN NAVY´S VESSEL "ARC GOLFO DE TRIBUGÁ" WAS AWARDED - The Landing Craft Utility vessel was built by Cotecmar between 2013 and 2014 and operates in the Colombian Pacific.
The pavilion recognition of this vessel designed and built in the heart of its shipyard, becomes another stimulus to move forward with innovative projects that serve as means for the officers of the Colombian Navy will fulfill its humanitarian mission in favor of the most affected populations.
On January 23, in the embassy of the Republic of Ecuador in Colombia, the pavilion of the Landing Craft Utility vessel – LCU of the Colombian Navy ARC "Golfo de Tribugá" was awarded. The ceremony was attended by the Colombian navy Commander, Admiral Ernesto Durán Gonzalez accompanied by a group of flag officers of the Colombian Navy.
This recognition made by the Embassy and Naval attaché of the neighboring country is an award for the successful support received from the naval officers of the vessel who participated in the humanitarian aid mission to the coastal city of Esmeraldas after the earthquake that occurred in April of 2016.
The medal "of services to the General Command of the Navy of Ecuador" was awarded to the pavilion of this emblematic vessel in service of the Colombian navy in the pacific coast .
